Campaign: "Integrated communications for the Public consultation for the construction of the Bourgas-Alxandroupoli pipeline"
Award category: Corporate Reputation
Title: "Information on the road of the pipeline"
Agency: CIVITAS Ketchum
The largest energy infrastructure project of Greece opens to discussion and public consultation meetings to inform and get the views of hundreds of stakeholders and the public in Evros prefecture and on the whole Greece. That said, the PR team had to prepare numerous stakeholders' relevant materials and deploy an integrated plan. The rough measure for this communication plan can only be given through figures (outcome): 11 months on the road, 55 meetings with state authorities involved, 24 NGO's, a preliminary environmental and social impact assessment study, more than 10 official presentations, 7 press conferences, and hundred of announcements; kilometres roadshowing the project; non-papers of technical and communication nature! The list is endless.
The public consultation was implemented for the first time in Greece for a project of this scale, with specific audience answer mechanisms, so the company can answer fully to any concern or remark raised. But above all the public consultation process inspired the people working for the project, and drove corporate reputation and trust to the highest possible levels.
